Course Description

Training that equips you to act with confidence when it matters most. Our internationally recognised, evidence-based Two Day Adult Mental Health First Aid course is designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to recognise the signs of mental ill health and respond with clarity, compassion and professionalism. Over two engaging and interactive days, you will gain a deeper understanding of mental health and wellbeing, including the factors that can affect it. The course explores common conditions such as anxiety, depression, psychosis and substance misuse, alongside suicide awareness and how to respond appropriately in a crisis situation. You will learn how to apply the structured MHFA action plan in real-world settings, helping you to approach conversations with confidence and purpose. The training also focuses on active listening skills, non-judgemental communication, maintaining appropriate boundaries and understanding the importance of self-care in the Mental Health First Aider role. This is not passive learning. Through discussion, group activities, case studies and scenario-based practice, you will build the confidence to start meaningful conversations, reduce stigma and guide someone towards appropriate professional support when needed. Delivered by a certified Instructor Member of MHFA England with years of frontline mental health experience, the course combines accredited content with real-world insight. We create a supportive, inclusive and welcoming learning environment where questions are encouraged and practical confidence is built. By the end of the two days, you’ll be well on course to becoming a certified mental health first aider — equipped to step forward, support others responsibly and contribute to creating safer, more open environments where mental health is understood and valued. We look forward to welcoming you to training that truly makes a difference.
