The Mental Health Aware course is a half-day introductory training designed to raise awareness of mental health and reduce stigma. It provides a foundational understanding of what mental health is, how it can be affected, and how to support wellbeing in everyday settings.


What the course covers:
  • What mental health is and why it matters

  • Common mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression

  • The impact of stress and risk factors

  • Recognising early warning signs

  • How to have supportive conversations

  • Introduction to the MHFA action plan

  • Looking after your own mental wellbeing


Who it’s for:

This course is ideal for individuals who want to increase their understanding of mental health, promote positive wellbeing, and feel more confident supporting others — without undertaking the full two-day Mental Health First Aid qualification.


Duration:

Half day (approximately 4 hours)


Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of attendance.
